Fontburn Reservoir hosts angling day
Northumberland County Blind Association's Annual Angling competition was held recently at Fontburn Reservoir, Rothbury, and despite high water levels several 12-fish bags were landed.
In its seventh year, the competition attracted keen anglers from across the North East, raising almost £900 in support of the association's work with blind and vision-impaired people.
Acting director, Lorraine Dryden, said: "Fundraising events play an important part in the funding of NCBA.
"This competition goes from strength to strength with many anglers returning to support our cause year after year. It is a great day out for anglers and families alike in a wonderful spot."
